ACTION
Automatic code generation and continuous optimisation for interactively composed process models
The aim of the ACTION project is to interactively model processes of any complexity, generate the code for them, and continuously optimise the workflows. To this end, ACTION offers the ability to document processes semi-automatically and intuitively, using chatbots and through dialogue with all those involved in the process. Whereas processes used to be defined on a drawing board at a solitary desk, working with ACTION brings all stakeholders together in dialogue to describe their process in natural language. Smart chatbots provided by ACTION integrate into the conversation and take on the role of
the relevant IT systems.
ACTION captures a formal process model in the background, so that all participants can see live how the process is taking shape. Quality is improved because ACTION actively carries out feasibility analyses during the modelling process itself and makes suggestions for improvement. The development concept also aims to support users throughout the entire process lifecycle by actively monitoring every execution, identifying and resolving bottlenecks with regard to IT capacities, and using intelligent algorithms to detect and report deviations between the process model and the actual process reality.
