Full control for data owners over the use of personal data

Although the GDPR is mandatory in Europe, there are currently no intelligent platforms or technical solutions that enable companies or organisations (data consumers) to acquire personal data from individuals (data owners) in a legally compliant and sustainable manner. There is no solution that gives data owners the ability to efficiently control the subsequent use of their data or simply withdraw it – in fact, personal data is currently being misused on a massive scale. Nor has there been any clever follow-up application for highly secure blockchain technology (apart from cryptocurrencies and a few logistics applications).

bitbase has identified these gaps and, with the PRIVACY CHAIN, aims to create – for the first time – a comprehensive technical and economic solution using blockchain technology, complete with a revenue model, which gives data owners full control over the use of their personal data whilst simultaneously establishing an EU or even global standard.
