Migration from TYPO3 to Drupal with PIM integration for Catnic

image

Initial situation

Catnic’s website was based on an outdated version of TYPO3. A particular problem was the product catalogue, which had grown over the years, become confusing and could only be maintained at great expense.

The key challenge: update or start afresh?

Requirements

The following was crucial for Catnic:

  • Easy maintenance and updates without the need for extensive servicing
  • Multilingual content at the touch of a button
  • Seamless integration of the PIM system
  • Hosting with automatic maintenance  – implemented using Pantheon, which reliably handles security and system updates

Our solution: Migration to Drupal & integration of the kameon PIM

Together with Catnic, we decided on a complete migration to Drupal. This laid the foundations for a modern, flexible website.

At its heart is the integration of the kameon PIM system: product information is managed centrally and automatically transferred to the website via an interface – including images, data and control over which content should go live.

This creates a scalable solution that offers Catnic maximum control whilst ensuring the highest efficiency.

“As a long-standing customer, I was sceptical at first. But the smooth transition to Drupal and Pantheon won me over: the website is faster, more reliable and easier to manage. The professional service exceeded my expectations.”
