Automated Supply Chain:
Continuous analysis, simulation and optimisation
A tool has been developed for supply chain managers to automatically model, analyse and monitor supply chains. The model generated identifies any dependencies within the supply chain network, quantifies them and, where appropriate, classifies them as system-critical. The idea is that, with the help of intelligent algorithms, dependencies on external factors such as the business climate, political situation, weather and traffic are also integrated into the model. At the same time, interfaces are automatically generated through which companies can securely share data with one another. For example, business partners with whom a supplier relationship exists could provide production and delivery figures, enabling a dynamic representation of the current supply and sales situation in real time.
The supply chain model becomes significantly more precise because machine learning techniques identify correlations between external and internal data. These enable continuous simulation of the model, so that increasingly precise recommendations for action can be provided automatically.
