Club management software & member’s app at SG Stern Deutschland e.V.
Initial situation
Relaunch of the SG Stern Deutschland e.V. website, featuring a newly created self-service area for members and simplified administration.
With 35 branches each running their own websites, barely linked to one another and featuring outdated designs, it was high time for SG Stern to take action. As one of Germany’s largest sports clubs, the organisation wanted a central platform with a modern online presence to showcase its wide range of training sessions and courses. Ideally, this would include booking options, a personal area for each member and optimised membership management.
Our solution
As a first step, we worked with our colleagues at Jung von Matt/Neckar to set up a central platform for all locations and members. Here, members can access all their data and information about upcoming events or courses via a self-service area. In the next step, we linked this platform to the membership and course management system based on kameon CLUB. We expanded the existing range of functions so that the sports club can now display course offerings with a wide variety of booking options. We integrated all SG Stern locations into a unified online presence that still allows for individual differences.
Centralised Course Offerings
Members can now book all courses online. And all centrally managed information from the kameon system – such as locations, details of events, prices and contact details – is now available in real time.
The future is on your smartphone
To make this online service even more interesting and relevant, we have developed a mobile app. Members can now use it to view their personal details, bookings and appointments at their convenience and – last but not least – even use the app as a digital membership card.

And here’s what’s next...
We are already planning to expand the booking function to include a rental service for equipment such as sailing boats or vehicles. In addition, an integrated module for mass mailings will go live shortly, making it even easier to communicate with members.
